New Stuff Painted

As promised, a bunch of photos of the things I have managed to finish. I have another couple of dozen SCW minis just about done, about 18 28mm Bobbies just started, and some Hordes Warbeasts on the table now.

Reaper Bones: "Spirit of the Forest"
I'm thinking this fellow is good for straight out fantasy or
for my VSF mad biologist, Dr. Vardu.

The Bog Monster's fuzzy butt. I put Army Painter's
"Meadow Flowers" and "Wilderness Tufts" on him for
a bit of extra plant-y goodness.

Sadly, the photos don't do him justice. I think he looks great.

FOW Valentine II tank.

A pair of Valentine IIs. 7th Armoured Division, "Desert Rats"
8th Army.

Not-really-quite-finished 6-pdr portees.

Still need to finish and attach the driver and crewmen.
Not sure about fitting the side plates.

A Very Blurry SCW. Peter Pig figures, with head swaps.
This is a FO team.

Carlist requetes infantry.

All of my requetes so far. Two infantry platoons, a company commander,
an observer, and an HMG platoon.

Photos soon to come

I have managed to get a bit of painting done these last few weeks. Between travel, and the start of a new semester, well... You all know how it is.

The models are currently drying from their lovingly applied flat clear coat. Once the varnish is dry, I'll snap a few pics (tomorrow, likely) and post them.

We've got four 15mm 6-pdr portees, a pair of 15mm Valentine IIs, a good number of 15mm Spanish Civil War requetes, a squadron of Federated States gunboats, and a big surprise which I don't want to spoil.

The FOW minis are for this weekend's games. I'll do my best to remember to snap a fwe piccies of the games,

Next up is finishing a batch of 28mm Bobbies, and then some more 15mm sci-fi to finish up a few things there. That would set me up ready to play a little Gruntz, I think.

On another note, but also gaming related, I have been doing a lot of reorganizing in the game room. Adding several new trays for finished minis lets me store them more efficiently. So I have been working on that, too.

Also watched Conan the Barbarian for the umpteenth time. Let me tell you a tale of the days of high adventure...

The Axis Of Naughtiness: Gonna take a ride into the danger zone.

Brilliant stuff here.

What I have been doing...

Traveling, mostly.

Historicon in mid July followed by a trip to Seattle and Alaska. I've been home for about four days now and finally getting around to a more 'normal' schedule now that I have packed my oldest boy off to Haiti for a week. Yes, Haiti.

Also, I got a new desktop. So I have been downloading all of the software I use. That's eating a lot of time, plus transferring a few hundred gigabytes of photos, documents, etc...

I did put together four 15mm British 6-pdr Portees and two Valentine IIs yesterday. Priming them now with British Armour (Desert) spray.

I also cleaned the resin for two Ironclad Miniatures Martian Airships (sailing kites). Still need to assemble and paint, though I think I am going to go with a simple paint scheme. These are large 28mm vehicles.

I also primed some 28mm Victorian Peelers. Coppers. Bobbies. Whatever you want to call them. And Uncle Thulu, that lovable scamp. And a batch of Peter Pig's Carlists for a third platoon's worth of bases. I'm about set, infantry-wise, for a 15mm SCW game.
