Fresh outta 1980 what?

Look at what I found. My original Star Frontiers books. And the maps. No box or counters, but then I can always print the counters off from Star Frontiersman.

Who says compulsively holding onto a game for almost thirty years isn't a good idea? I think the boys and I are gonna be playing this weekend! Oh yeah!

I still have my set in storage. All this Star Frontiers talk is making me want to dig them out and get some nostalgic gaming in.

Please allow me to use this picture to make an rpg design post on one of my blogs.

Sadly it's in Spanish. The post talks mainly on how the distinct styles in the illustrations of both books (even though they are very similar covers) depict the differences between a Basic and an Extended rules booklet. I consider it part of Star Frontiers game design, even if the actual decision wasn't taken as design by the editors. I consider game design is everything, from the explanation of a specific mechanic in the game, to the book layout, chapters order, and even covers or book format.

Cheers, and thanks again.

Gracias. Yo puedo leer en espanol.

Your English is excellent, if it is not your native language. Much better than my Spanish!

I'll check it out.
