Ion Age War Mecha "Arcus" Magog

   Okay, I am on the cusp of ordering one of these. I just love the rocket pods. From the Ion Age line, and you can find them here. They've a good sale with it right now as well, if you hurry before 27 November, I think.

Skrak Terror Birds

   These are new from the Ion Age. I just learned of their existence. I almost regret having the Orb Bikes for my space viking scouting elements, as these are... amazing. Just too cool. Maligs (read: space goblins) on giant terror birds. Giant. Terror. Birds.

   Heck, I even like the paint scheme.

   Now I am trying to figure out a 'good' reason to buy these. The temptation of free worldwide shipping until 24 April isn't helping me resist either. Any 'good' reasons you can think of to buy them? So far all I am coming up with is "cowboys on a farm planet that is being attacked." Of course, I would then need some alien 'cattle'...

   And, since Ion Age is selling these without riders as well, I can think up another use for them, one near and dear to my heart: Victorian Science Fiction. I was never thrilled by the Martian Empires mounts, a sort of long multilegged dinosaurian looking thing. These might do the trick, however. Maybe just a test buy, just to see if they will work with the riders I have.

Expanding the Habitat

   More stuff from the Ion Age, this time terrain. The Command dome was already 'finished' once, but I noticed I had missed some things and decided I wanted to make some changes to the color scheme. I'm thinking all hatches will be color coded from now on:

• Blue = Command Center
• Orange = Habitat (Living Quarters)
• Green = Science (Labs)
• Red = Mechanicals (Garages, etc.)
• Yellow = Security

   So, according to my scheme, this is obviously a Habitat Dome. I think I am going to make up some sort of signage for over the door on the hab domes. Or maybe at least a dome number beside the hatch? And... I just noticed I forgot to danger stripe the electrical cable on that dome. Back to the table for a quick fix.

   I have a few more pieces left to paint up for now: a four-way intersection, two domes, and two more corridor lengths. I think I am going to order a few more as well, at least one or two hab domes, a bit more corridor, the tower module, and maybe a blockhouse or turret section.
